The Pastor's Heart

    The heart of any pastor is to see a person who is lost in their sin come to know Jesus as Savior.  Jesus left his Heavenly home with Our Father God and came to this earth.  He did this so that any one who wants to be saved, can.  All we have to do to be saved is ask.  The bible said that Whosoever shall call upon the name of Jesus shall be saved. What are we being saved from?

The Bible tells us in
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

A great title.
King David was called "a friend of God". The Holy Bible tells us that King David was a man after God's own heart. He knew how to humble himself and pray and come into the presence of God.

A great gift.
King Solomon, King David's Son, was told by God to ask whatever he would and God would grant it to him. King Solomon asked for wisdom.

The greatest gift of all.
Jesus said in Matthew 18 : 3 "Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

How can I be converted?

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

Revelation 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me.

Why do we need salvation?
The question is not if there is an eternity. The question is where you will spend eternity. Just as certain as there is a place for the saints of God, the saved of earth,

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself that where I am, there ye may be also.

There is also most certainly a place for those who reject Jesus and turn away from the Love and Mercy and Grace of God.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me ye cursed into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but thegiftofGod [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

The greatest gift.
The gift of the grace of God whereby we are saved and that being accomplished by nothing that we can do. Salvation is the greatest gift of all. Is your name written in the Lamb's book of Life? Are you sure where you would spend eternity if you were to take your last breath?

All that you have to do to be saved is believe in your heart that Jesus was crucified for our sin, was burried and on the third day he arose from the grave and sits on the right hand of God the Father, ever interceeding for us.  Just pray this simple prayer:
Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I ask you to forgive me of my sin. I ask you to come into my heart and Jesus, I submit my life to you as my Lord and Savior.

If you asked Jesus to forgive you and come into your heart, then by faith believe it is true.
